Key Forum

Introduction

The Garma Festival of Traditional Culture is a focal point for activities of the Garma Cultural Studies Institute. A key forum has been held at each Garma Festival since 1999.

These forums have covered a wide range of topics and have been attended by many highly regarded academics from Australia and beyond. They aim to develop the profile of the Garma Cultural Studies Institute, and to draw attention to some of the pressing issues faced by Yolngu and other Indigenous communities.
