Stan Brumby

Stan comes from this area, around Wolfe Crater, his mother’s country. In the bottom right hand side is the sunset country where Stan was born. Not far from there is the crater. The morning star is in this country – and it made a big hole in the ground when the meteorite came down like dynamite.

Murungur is the man in the bush who created that area. That little man can fight too. He has got a spear and kills kangaroo and emu with it. All the murungur come from around there and they use the spear like a rifle. They eat bush tucker and do bush magic and bush medicine.

Stan said that he has got that little man, murungur, looking after him, guiding him. No one can see him, but every night he comes to talk to Stan, telling him to go home to his country.
